    Product and Compatibility

    What exactly is the DNAK Cycling ecosystem?

    The ecosystem is composed of two main elements designed to work together:

    • DNAK D1 (The Ride Simulator): A basic biomechanical simulator with an advanced dynamic balancing system (lateral and longitudinal) designed to house your own bicycle and your direct drive roller.
    • Adjustable Frame: A specific accessory that attaches to the D1 to turn it into a complete, compact, and permanently ready-to-ride Smart Bike, allowing you to replicate the exact measurements of your bike fitting.

     

    Do I have to disassemble my usual bicycle every time I want to train?

    This isn’t necessary if you use our fully adjustable cycling frame. It’s designed precisely so you can leave a fixed Smart Bike setup in the living room or on a trainer, keeping your regular road bike always ready for your outdoor rides. Or even share the bike with someone of a very different size.

    Which virtual cycling platforms is it compatible with?

    The DNAK Cycling ecosystem is open. It is fully compatible with the most powerful applications on the market via Bluetooth FTMS, such as Zwift, Rouvy, Bkool, FulGaz, TrainerRoad, and TrainingPeaks Virtual.

    Can I train if I don’t have an internet connection?

    Yes, absolutely. Through our DNAKCycling App (available for Windows, iOS, and Android), you can manage your workouts and record your performance metrics in real time (watts, cadence, speed) locally, without relying on external platforms or an internet connection.

    Launch and Availability

    Is the product already on sale?

    The project is currently in its final stages of development, precision engineering, and rigorous testing with our beta testers. It is not yet available for immediate purchase, but we are finalizing the details for its upcoming market launch.

    Software and Support

    What is DNAK Toolkit and what is it used for?

    It’s our essential technical tool for maintenance and configuration, designed exclusively for mobile devices. It allows you to interact directly with the hardware wirelessly and lets you:

    • Update the roller’s firmware to the latest version.
    • Calibrate the power sensors to ensure maximum accuracy in your watts.
    • Configure the virtual shifter directly with the DNAK D1.

     

    Why does the Android app ask me for location permission?

    It is a strict requirement of the Android operating system to scan for and connect to external devices via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). DNAK Cycling does not track, record, or share your GPS location at any time; this permission is used solely to link the app to your trainer. This permission is not required on iOS and Windows.
